Provocative (Tempting #3)
Meals by myself, because she was already done.
Excuses and apologies, they were never enough.
But even with that, when I touched her—when she arched under me and pulled me deeper— we couldn’t get back to where we needed to be.
Where we used to be.
It was all frustration.
Loneliness.
Loss.
Because even though she was no longer my student, the chemistry was always there.
Adele and I loved each other.
We thought we were unshakeable.
But love isn’t always enough.
It wasn’t enough when I constantly disappointed her.
It wasn’t enough when loss cleaved us in two.
And when she left me, love was not enough.
She didn’t know yet that I’d never stop fighting for her.
But she would.
**Author’s note- Let’s be real clear that this is BOOK TWO of a duet, and you’re going to want to read Tempting before you read this one. Adele and Nathan started their story in that book, and you’ll get the same sex, fighting, and cursing that you did in the first. But if you want it to make sense, read Tempting first. If any of that offends you, please avoid them both.**
Man, oh, man, oh, man!! I honestly have NO IDEA where to start. Holy shiz, this book rocked me to my core! When I first saw that we were getting more from Nathan & Adele I think I squealed a little, then came the anxiety of what on earth would happen between them and wowzas a lot freaking happened between them! My naughty professor and his teasing temptress stole my heart in Tempting. In Provocative they obliterated it, before rendering me speechless with their love and devotion. The
I was very impressed and enjoyed the hell out of Tempting so I was eagerly awaiting Provocative. What made me enjoy Tempting was the two MC's Adele and Nathan and of course Alex Lucian's writing. Provocative proved to be a terrific continuation and conclusion to Adele and Nathan's story. Both Adele and Nathan showed me different sides of themselves this time around. Adele proved to be more than just a blonde with a feisty mouth. She had a bright head on her shoulders and felt more than she first

4.5 Stars.....Almost Perfect! Slight Spoilers AheadOK, so for anyone who has not started this series, please do! It is great and then sheer sexiness, OMFG...it's off the charts hot freaking stuff:)OK, so why not 5 Stars, well for me, Adele pissed me right the f off!!! Part of me totally understood and got it, I had tears in my eyes and a huge ass lump in my throat on a few occasions for her but there was that one conversation that they had that totally tore my heart into a million pieces for
She gets pregnant and has a miscarriage. The couple fight and take the whole book to make up. He sells the house and gives his dead wifes things back to her parents and moves on. Months later, he proposes to her during sex on the day she graduates from college.I started skimming after the miscarriage because it was a pretty lame premise for a fight.
Reading this duet (Tempting+Provocative), it had been a while since I had dived into a teacher/student romance. All I can say is, picking this book to dive into that trope again was the best decision I made that day. There was so much lust that I almost questioned if Alex Lucian wasn't trying to sweetly punish me with her words. At first, I was looking to give Adele, the heroine, a piece of my mind but eventually it turned to obsession. I blame it on Nathan, how could I hate the woman who is was
4 "No Silence" StarsProvocative is the follow up and conclusion to Alex Lucian's Tempting series duet. It's book three of the series but follows Adele and Nathan from Tempting book 1. I would highly suggest reading Tempting first to get the full effect of their relationship and what leads the actions in Provocative. That said I devoured both of these books back to back without much break as this series, and Alex's writing, is addictive and scintillating. Adele and Nathan are living out their HEA

4.5 starsThis was an emotional and dramatic read! I loved these characters but the separation and fighting dragged on a tad bit too long.
