My earliest recollection of Leonard Cohen was when I first listened to 'Everybody Knows' in 1990 yet I had no idea who sang it and didn't think much else about the artist until a few years before his death when I was given a copy of one of his albums but I distinctly remember hearing the song back then and feeling wowed by the tone of voice.
