Explanation Supposing Books The Unmapped Sea (The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place #5)

For fans of Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events and Trenton Lee Stewart's Mysterious Benedict Society, here comes the fifth book in the Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place, the acclaimed and hilarious Victorian mystery series by Maryrose Wood.

Lord Fredrick Ashton may not feel ready to be a father, but with a little Ashton on the way, he's sure about one thing: The wolfish curse on his family must end soon, before the child is born. Penelope willingly takes on the challenge; when Lady Constance's doctor prescribes a seaside holiday, Penelope jumps at the chance to take the three Incorrigible children to Brighton, where she hopes to persuade the old sailor Pudge to reveal what he knows about the Ashton curse.

But the Ashtons are not the only ones at the beach in January. The passionately temperamental Babushkinov family is also taking the winter waters. The Incorrigible children may have been raised by wolves, but the Babushkinov children are the wildest creatures they've ever seen. Is it more than mere coincidence that these untamed children have turned up in Brighton just as Penelope and the Incorrigibles arrive?

Crit About Books The Unmapped Sea (The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place #5)
I do love these Incorrigibles.

Some questions finally get answered but there's an unpredictable twist at the end. Looking forward to the final book in the series, coming out soon!

I knew book 5 was going to have something to do with the ocean, with all of that pirate stuff in book 4.

At first, I thought or rather hoped this book would be the final book of the series, but as it turned out, it wasn't. Originally, I felt I was satisfied and finished with the series, but after finishing this book. I didn't want it to be over just yet. A new shocking ending got me curious what will happened. The curse was still there. The rest of mystery had finally been told, which made this book a favorite out of five books. So many shocking twist coming out of this novel. New family showed up

I'm hoping that all of my questions will be answered in the next (last) book of this series. I'm going to have to start it right away.NOTE: I really liked the previous book cover illustrations - the ones with Miss Penelope Lumley standing in the middle of the frame, surrounded by the 3 Incorrigibles. Somehow this book cover just does not feel right to me. I don't like it.

We positively LOVE this series. I cant even begin to describe the feelings of anguish upon learning that the finale wont be available until June! My son immediately started the series all over again hoping it would cause the time to pass quicker...

To be continued... That's how the book ends. What?? Groan. Moan. Sigh. Sputter. These three words (to be continued ) have to be my absolutely least favorite three words in the entire series. Now they wouldn't be so painful if the next book in this series featuring the wonderful and endearingly unforgettable Incorrigibles had already been published and I could run out and fetch it. Alas. I must wait. And wait. And wait some more because the next book is not even published !!I've survived one
