Book was good but didn't live up to my expectations. Out of all they Lycan series books this was my least favorite.Ok so I've only gotten through a couple chapters and Edmonton and Calgary have been mentioned. Wow people know that these cities exist? LolWow! So good! Only put it down last night at 4 am because I was falling asleep
This book twice forced me to reassess my own opinions. I generally am discouraged when a series that has previously been based on a single paranormal species, such as werewolves, starts throwing in other species, such as fae. I've found it to usually indicate that the series is loosing focus, which is rarely a good thing. However, despite my dismal expectations it worked here. Charles managed to introduce a broader paranormal panorama without letting the series loose shape. Kudos. Secondly, I

So many good things to say about this book!!! This book has every element of a fantastic read. Love, drama, adventure, conflict and so much more! I read this in a day and couldn't put it down. I can not wait to start the third book in the series. I highly encourage any of you to read this book.
Okay, let me start by saying this book, in fact the whole series, was free. The author only asks that the reader consider making a donation to their local animal shelter or food bank, which is pretty awesome when you think about it. And now for the book...It's a little hard to figure out where to read which book in the series. Having previously read 'Bonded,' which is a prequel for the series and ended with a big question mark hanging over the side character of Damien, I decided to read this one
I started this series a couple of years ago during one summer vacation. The main allure being that they're light and predictable. But after I got back from my vacation I just didn't feel like continuing so the rest have been sitting on my Kindle ever since. I had a bit of a hard time remembering what had happened before in the series but I quickly got back into the feel of the Lycan world. The characters are fairly engaging and after a few chapters I started to develop some emotional attachment.
I like this series, but this one wasn't one of the better ones. I felt so confused due to Damien. At first I thought he was the foil for a love triangle. I didn't really like that as it seemed like he was still mourning Beth and he moved on a little too fast. I was also confused on his role, was he a rogue or was he doing something more. Even considering the second portion there was more to that.As for the romance between Rafe and Eve, it was just meh... for me. Rafe was an ass for much of the
