Commentary To Books Body & Soul (The Ghost and the Goth #3)

The final book in The Ghost and the Goth Trilogy!

The Ghost
I’ve been trapped in the body of Lily “Ally” Turner for a month now. Talk about a fashion crisis on an epic scale. What worries me more, though, is sometimes I catch Will looking at me like he thinks I’m Lily...or that he wishes I were. Without the good looks of my former self, I don’t know who I am, or if who that is is good enough. I need out of this mess. Now.

Will and I have been looking for a solution, one that would separate me from Lily without killing her. But it’s not going well. Then, when it seems like things couldn’t get any worse, we run into Misty, my former best friend and boyfriend-stealer extraordinaire, who claims she’s being haunted...by me. Seriously?

I’m determined to get to the bottom of who’s pretending to be the spirit of Alona Dare (while I’m pretending to be someone else) and then get the heck out of this body. Or die trying...

The Goth
I’ll admit it. It’s really weird to look at Alona but see Lily. I do know the difference, though, contrary to what Alona might be saying. And Alona is more than a pretty face to me, not that she would believe that.

Our one lead for some help in this messed up situation might be a page torn from the yellow pages-—the “Psychics” section-—I found in my dad’s stuff. One of the “fakes” seems a bit more real-—and odd-—than the others. Before I can investigate further, though, Alona is off and chasing a ghost that’s probably nothing more than a figment of Misty’s guilty imagination. Now Lily’s family is freaking out because she didn’t come home, my mom is ordering me to stay out of it, and something is definitely wrong with the person formerly known as Lily “Ally” Turner...

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie TalesQuick & Dirty: A good series conclusion filled with a surprisingly deep story of friendship and responsibility.Opening Sentence: Malachi the Magnificent, Consultant to the Stars, had a storefront in a dingy, run down strip mall between a sketchy-looking Laundromat and a closed-up nail salon with a big, bright orange health department sticker plastered on its door. The Review:Body & Soul is the third and final book in Stacey Kades The Ghost and the Goth

THE REVIEWWhy this book?I liked the other 2 books in the seriesWhat I thoughtThis was a was a mix of emotions for me at times I loved at times I hated it. I just don't like the whole Alona in Lilly's body situation. I was actually happy when Erin pushed her out. Then Erin started acting stupid and I don't know it just irritated me. However It was nice to have old Alona back. I gotta admit I did like the Will and Ally interactions though. Alona and Will are one of my favorite young adult couples

2.5 Stars I did not have a lot of expectation on this book because if I did, then this book would've probably gotten a one star rating instead of three. I was kind of disappointed with the Queen of the Dead and I wasn't planning on reading this book but, after reading long and complicated books for a while, I wanted to read something light, fluffy and short. This book fit into that category so after a looong break from this series, I decided to read the last book and wrap up this series once

Fantastic ending to this trilogy. The characters in this actually think about their actions, now to solve their own problems and whether their choices are morally right or wrong. There is growth from both of them, intentionally trying out different ways of behaving, seeing solutions that they can bring about. This story takes off a few weeks after the last one. Without leaving spoilers for anyone who hasn't yet read the series, I'll just say there is romance (not over done and not the sole focus

This and other reviews can be found on The Psychotic Nerd Note: This review will include spoilers for book two. So, if you have yet to read that one, proceed with caution! MY THOUGHTS Well, here I am at the last book in The Ghost and the Goth series! I'm now done with my reread of this series! While my feelings towards this series aren't as huge as the first go-round, this is still a pretty fantastic series. In Queen of the Dead Alona got into some trouble. As in, she kind of possessed the body

Here are some of my thoughts: I love the concept of the series, but reading this last book, I am a bit disappointed with the plot. Its just not preferable with the whole body possession thing. It wouldnt be so bad if it was the body of someone they didnt know or only vaguely knew, but for this to be Wills friend and kinda-crush that got faded out its pretty weird (weirder than it already is). Still, I admire seeing the character development in Alona. Shes definitely a multi-dimensional
