I attended a lecture on the art of Little Golden Books, and found this delightful version of a childhood favorite available for sale. It is, of course, a highly condensed version of Dodie Smith's The Hundred and One Dalmatians, with delightful illustrations reminiscent of the beloved Disney movie.We see Pongo and Perdita, with the help of their animal friends, rescue not just their own puppies but many, many more from the clutches of Cruella deVil and her henchmen.Sweet little book.

I did so enjoy the 101 Dalmatians when I was younger, mostly because it was a dog story. This book has the same art work/drawings as the movie. It was nice to read to my son, but not a favorite by any means. More nostalgia than anything for me.

I love this!!! Doggies, doggies and more doggies!!!!! So cute, so classic. This is also one of those Disney stories where I actually like the villain as well. Cruela di vil is one of those love to hate villains. Now, granted I don't appreciate her killing animals to make her clothing and accessories but seeing as this is a kid's story, Disney doesn't provide in-depth details on that. I love all the side characters and the buffoons as the side-kidnappers are hysterical. I love the artwork as
