Explanation Supposing Books Killjoy (Buchanan-Renard #3)

Avery Delaney has always tried to put the past far behind her. Abandoned by her rapacious, conniving mother when she was only three days old, Avery was raised by her grandmother and beloved aunt Carolyn. Then, when she was eleven, she witnessed her grandmother's violent death, before Avery herself was shot and left for dead. Miraculously she survived. The man responsible is serving time in a Florida prison. This traumatic experience propels Avery into a life of law and order.

Her razor-sharp mind and ability to gather data and decipher evidence has made Avery an expert crime analyst for the FBI. But soon she will have to use every one of her adroit skills on a case that hits painfully close to home.

Avery's workaholic aunt, Carolyn Salvetti, is certain her (hopefully soon-to-be ex) husband sent her the gold embossed reservation to the posh Utopia Spa in the mountains of Colorado. At first she is resistant, but then figures it will be a welcome respite from the cutthroat advertising business, not to mention a networking extravaganza. Plus she persuades her niece to join her for the two weeks of luxury and decadence.

But Carolyn never makes it to Utopia. Under false pretenses, she is taken to an isolated retreat by a handsome stranger with a dazzling smile, suave demeanor, and the darkest of motives. His name is Monk, a hired assassin. Now, with scant clues and fewer resources, Avery must track down and save Carolyn--and outmaneuver a brilliant killer who is part of an elaborate plot of madness and lethal vengeance.

Evaluate Regarding Books Killjoy (Buchanan-Renard #3)
Great series... Why did I wait so long to get book three read when I made the mistake of reading number four??? Not sure. I loved the premise of the tough, analytical girl working in the basement of the FBI. Her attention to detail was intriguing including finding the clues for the Shakespearian heists. Well done Julie Garwood. I would have liked to see more of Avery's mind when came to analyzing FBI data. I was almost a touch sad, that the story didn't move forward with this angle, but I did

Suspend your disbelief and just go along for the ride. That was the sentence I said to myself more than once as I listened to this book during my commute. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. A lovestruck hitman, a sociopathic deadbeat mom with a vengeance, an FBI-in-training, and an ex-Navy seal with questionable motives all make colorful characters. Add in a high-priced spa, some raging rapids, and a house bomb, and you've got a good way to pass the time.

Love John PaulThis was a great thriller with a few couple of twists at the end. I love John Paul and was happy he got a book. I liked how sassy and down to earth A very was. This was a great book, great characters and great storyline. I was a little concerned based on a couple reviews regarding the sexy time scenes, but there was only one scene drawn out and it wasn't super graphic.

I was excited to pick this book up, thinking I would learn thriller story construction from a talented author. Instead I found myself swept along in a compelling story. I thoroughly loved this book. The main characters were tough and believable. Their actions were so well motivated that I felt like I knew them.I read all of Garwood's historicals and was devastated when she made the jump to thriller writing. However, I now see the tenderness that initially drew me to her work in her thrillers. It

My oh my, the female villain, Jilly Delaney, is a sick one! This story gives me the chills. The ending left me slightly baffled; I hope this is the end of Jilly. She freaked me out so bad, I don't ever want to read about her anymore ever again. Like, ever. While I like John Paul and Avery, I'm a little bit on the fence about them as a couple. I guess I don't care much about them to care. I was more hooked in the storyline than I was with the romance. Having said that, I do enjoy their chemistry.

This was a really good suspense/mystery romance. From the very beginning I was on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen and what direction it was going to take. Can't wait to read more of this series. I am now going to pass this on to my Daughter for her to read.

10/08/2016 Audio Book Review 4.5 Surly Cajun Loving Stars!! This is definitely one of my favorites in the Buchanan-Renard series!! We get plenty of action, suspense, and romance. I love John Paul Renard, I was instantly intrigued by him when he was introduced to us in book #2 Mercy, hes a burnt out ex-military and ex-government agent with a bad attitude and has an aversion all U.S. government agencies. The thing he wants more than anything is to find Monk a paid assassin (who was also
