Interpretation Supposing Books No Place Like Home

Twenty-one years ago, Jewel Sabatino left her childhood behind and never looked back. After a magical taste of fame, she found herself alone with a son to raise and very few options. Now she has left New York for the hills of Colorado, unsure if her family will welcome her back. For Jewel, coming home is falling into a world that smells of Italian restaurants and home-baked pies. It is the laughter of sisters preparing for a summer wedding. It also means facing the unforgiving eyes of a father betrayed by his favorite child—and letting go of a son who is ready to become a man. But most of all, it is the love she unexpectedly discovers in her own wary heart. . . .

Judgment Epithetical Books No Place Like Home
An Engaging StoryThis is a well-told story of love, loss and redemption and is woven through the complicated dance of family. Engaging characters experience true to life issues and making important discoveries about themselves, their dreams and their relationship with the world. It's a story you can embrace emotionally and literally had me laughing out loud at t times and crying at others.

This story was about compassion, love of family and home, as well as rebellion and pain from poor life choices. It is also about acceptance and forgiveness. For sexual content, I prefer less explicit description plus the choice to have explosive sex in the pantry and kitchen made me skip over quite a few pages! ( I am by no means a prude, but REALLY???? ) The author is a word smith, no doubt !!!!

I really like this author but I didnt really care for this book

This is the first book I've read in longer than I can remember that made tears just stream down my cheeks. But mixed with the sadness was so much joy. Barbara Samuels writes about family, food, love, motherhood, and the joys and sorrows of balancing all the roles that come with being a woman with wit, tenderness, and shattering honesty. The genuineness of the writing and the universal truths that this book explores lift it far above your average "women's fiction" novel. I never once felt like my

NO PLACE LIKE HOMEBarbara SamuelsThis is an oldie but goodie that I have recommended many times in fact I even recommended it to a script writer friend because I thought it would be a great movie. I hoped he could work with Ms Samuels on a screen play, but Im sorry to say it never happened. This is the story of a woman who has been estranged from her family who comes home with her son and gay best friend. The novel takes place in my home town and I know the restaurant and the characters in the

Contemporary Romance Something MissingI really like Barbara O'Neal's writing style, no matter which of her pseudonyms she is using. There is a lush sensuality about her writing, whether the topic is Romance or Foodie Fiction. But in this story, I never quite connected, thus the three star rating. The story felt a little dated too.The story has a couple of intimate scenes and a few bad words, to the best of my recollection.

I checked this out from the library thinking it would just be a cheesy love book (which I do secretly love) but it was much more. It was poignant and sweet and the characters are so completely developed, you just fall in love with all of them.
