Honestly, I was a little concerned that this book is the first in a ten-book series. It raises the bar that much higher since it takes something very special to keep my attention for that long. So, does this series deserve such a big commitment? YES! I really love this book. It is atmospheric, unique, and super creepy. I could tell right away that a lot of research went into it (from the different locations, to the time periods, to all the historical references). The characters are interestingThis book is good on so many levels. Kudos to the writing team of Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz. There are few books that can switch back and forth in time and not be awkward at some point or hard to follow.
