Okay, this series was fantastic. The concept of a bond between creatures not normally compatible is a fascinating one for me, I love to read about it and write about it. These characters aren't easily pigeon holed either- I liked the fact that the author didn't rely on simple tropes in her story. The love, loss, and defense mechanisms of Dayton (heroine) are believable and easy to empathize with. She isn't a "super" character either, even though this plot allows for it since she's not entirelyI found about this book from R.K. Ryals contacting me directly and asking me to review it on www.yanovelreader.com. I have to say I am so happy she did, because this book is amazing. From the beginning she draws you into the story and you are taken on a wild ride with Dayton trying to figure out what exactly is happening to her. I honestly sped through this book because I could not put it down. The story itself is very unique. It is not your normal paranormal romance where a dark being is somehow
OMG what took me so long to read this book? I absolutely love it!! Demons, angels, gargoyles, witches...wow what a ride.Dayton Blainey is a 16 year old girl who has lost her parents and sent to live with her heartless aunt at the Blackstone Abbey. No love or affection is shown to her except by her best friends. I have to admit I just love Dayton and her foul mouth. She cracks me up with her comments and quirky behavior. Add to that mix her best friend Monroe and I find myself laughing out loud.

Why did I wait so long to pick up this book? This was one that kept me up at night saying to myself just one more chapter then Ill sleep. When I woke, it was the first thing I thought about. I had to see what was going to happen with Dayton.Dayton is trying to deal with her living conditions with her Aunt Kyra and her sister Amber in an Abbess. Not exactly the place where she can do what she wants, she finds comfort with her friends from school, Monroe and Conor. Each of her friends has their
I would recommend this book- I thought it was a good read.Dayton lives with her aunt- a strict nun at a nunnery. Little does she know that due to her parents, her life is not of her own. There are expectations and sacrifices she is expect to make. Only Day can decide if that is what she wants, or can she?The only downfall of this book was that it took a bit to get to the main plot of the story for me. Once you get into the action and the secret society, it is much quicker. You just keep turning
